With the added bonus that you can more easily adjust to targets actually trying to dodge. The moment you start doing that, any such aim assist will in fact put the user at a disadvantage, since it cannot predict such behaviour and will thus give false target information to the user.Īt the same time it doesn't take much learning to get the same information such a mod will give you simply from experience. Part of becoming a decent player (not even a good player, just a decent one) is learning to vary your speed and direction whenever you might get shot at or torpedoed and keeping an eye out for incoming fire from the distance. I think Wargaming has given them the green light, but I agree with OP.īoth of you are still ignoring the core issue. Yeah sure someone could in theory do all the calculations themselves, but with some of the mods they don't have to. As someone who has ranted previously about doing poorly in game its natural you might jump to the conclusion that people are cheating instead of the issue being your lack of experience and skill. What bad players mess up on is positioning, angling, target choice and match awareness. Its also something rather easy for WG to pick up and people get banned for such things. It wasnt capable of predicting ahead of time what the target was going to do (just like any aimbot type thing) and the fact remains that aiming is not that tricky in this game. There was one vid long ago of someone showcasing an aim assist which showed arcs of trajectory in real time on outgoing and incoming shells which would have given someone the same aiming skill as a bot.
